Any Suggestions?

Has anyone got a recommendation for me for a good book on the history of the Women's Movement? I mean the early history...19th and early 20th centuries.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know of anything on the history of the women's movement, but I've been touting the recent Mark Twain biography by Powers and notwithstanding the negative reviews, A Writer's Life by Gay Talese. In fiction, I just finished Everyman by Philip Roth and greatly enjoyed it.

I've got to get some Phillip Roth to take on vacation. I can't believe I've never read him. Thanks!

Hmmm, I've been reading one for a while now and can't seem to put it down. It's called "Jesse Bear, What will you wear?". Jesse absolutely loves it, but I'm not sure it would interest you. lol.

You need a book on the history of the women's movement even more than I do, Jess! I think I'll pass on Jesse Bear, until I can read it to Brendan, thanks.

I think I'll have better luck if I stick a little closer to home than Newcastle, Austrailia. Say, like Barbados. They've got to have a library on the island. ; )

As if I'm going to a tropical island and going to be scoping out the library! Now, the restaurant up the beach, the English pub right across the street, those are the places calling to me right now! ROFL!
